For selected models, it comes with handle.

Yes, easily. It measures 40x20x4 but can be folded in half too.

Is this bag waterproof?

It’s water-resistant; the outside is made of a hard, shiny nylon that can withstand walking around in the rain for a little while. Waterproof might be a stretch though!

Will have to check this bag at the airport, is it durable enough for this?

It would probably be alright, the bag is well made. we brought it carry on, and told the flight attendant it had our wedding attire in it. They hung it safely in first class so we wouldn’t have to worry about it.

Do you feel this garment bag would fit a lightweight wedding dress and a suit or would you recommend two?

It all depends on what you mean by lightweight – No problem fitting three suits (no shirts) in there – they did need to be dry cleaned afterwards because they got wrinkled from all my traveling. If it’s a simple wedding gown, you should be fine, but you might want two so each of you has room for a pair of shoes and accessories. You’ll need another bag for those items if you don’t get two.
